Our Approach
We use a systematic approach to training that includes:
Beginnings
Being
aware of the concerns and objectives of individual participants is an integral
part of our training process.
We identify how our training can (or cannot) meet or impact participant's concerns. We document concerns and objectives and use them as the basis for customizing programs to meet the needs of groups, teams, and individuals. The list of concerns and objectives is made available as part of evaluating the success of the training.
Rapport
We familiarize ourselves with the work environment.
Through getting involved in facility tours, asking employees for demonstrations of their work, and learning about products and processes we get a better picture of the workday of employees. This helps us to understand the environment and quickly build a rapport with employees. Understanding the physical stress, environmental issues and time constraints helps us customize training content, and choose the most appropriate techniques to learn in that environment.
Receptivity
We create an environment where the employees are receptive to learning.
By understanding the environment, actively listening, treating participants with respect, addressing concerns about the training, and having some fun we create an environment where participants are receptive to learning and trying new things. We create the opportunity for leadership and teamwork in the classroom, then teach individuals and teams how to apply those skills in their day-to-day work. We select methods, tools, demonstrations, and facilitate situations to practice new skills in the classroom, then build action plans to integrate these skills into meeting actual work goals. Employees are not left wondering what to do next when the training is complete.
Experience
We've been there.
Our employees and associates have faced the same challenges that our customer
is faced with. We have experienced the ups and downs of transition, re-engineering
and budget cuts. We know first hand how difficult it is to make changeeven
for the better. Even more importantly, weve experienced the rewards
of recognizing the need for change and applying the necessary actions and
effort to make positive lasting change.
Training
is
a
TOOL to
facilitate
change.
